Affordable Flatrate Unlimited Internet Connection, Here I Come!

I’m quite happy today. Eventhough the day started pretty badly with my son refusing to go to school as usual, but at the end we go to his school with smile on our faces. Thanks to Saint Seiya serials on TV. But the best part of the day is when I got my ISAT Eco package from Indosat.

After I drop my wife off at Prudential building, Thamrin (she’s an insurance and investment agent there), I saw the Galeri Indosat signage just across the street at Sarinah’s second floor. Since I have read the press release and the information of the unlimited internet package with flat rate on their website, I decided to go there rightaway.

FYI, I have bad experience with Indosat’s competitor, Telkomsel who has released similar package a few months earlier. And I just want to find out whether this operator can serve me better. So there I go, Galeri Indosat at Sarinah building.

The first impression I got when I enter the galeri is not so good. The room looks sleazy, far from the rooms of Grapari or even Gerai Halo at Palmerah market across my previous office. 1-0 for Telkomsel. Same with the competitor, I have to take number and wait for my turn to be served by the customer service officer. But the waiting time is definitely a lot better. Maybe since it was only about 10 in the morning. But in Grapari at 10 o’clock, usually a number of customers have already arrived. Well, for this particular experience, its 1-1.

For the CSO, Telkomsel puts many good looking CSO’s at their counter, gorgeous girls and not so bad looking guys. At the Galeri Indosat, this part is not so wonderful. 2-1 for Telkomsel 😛

When I got to the desk, the CSO serves me good. He is well informed with what his company has to offer to their customers and pretty polite too. About the same with their competitor. But hey, I got a souvenir just for getting there. Even the souvenir is just only a small mug, but the Idea is very nice! CRM is operated here. 2-2 the score.

The requirement for applying this service is only KTP (ID and family certificate). No need to be a customers of Indosat first. 3-2 for Indosat. After I picked which number will I used for the GSM card or the service, I was told to wait for a moment. When he got back, tadaa.. the SIM card is available right away for me to bring home. 4-2 for Indosat. When I asked did I have to pay Rp. 6000 for the seal, he said no. I have to pay for the seal only if I quit the service, later. Great. 5-2 for Indosat 😛

I have to pay for the first month of service at any nearest Galeri Indosat, though. But after that, I can pay the service via my bank’s ATM. I was also told that my service will be active in the next 3-4 days. Well, at least it’s sooo much better then I have to wait to be surveyed like the competitor has done to me, and not get surveyed until this day. 6-2 for Indosat. One more important thing. I took the cheapest service and it cost only 100K, compared to their competitor’s offering, 125K (both of them before 10% tax). So, the final score is 7-2 for Indosat. Ok, maybe 7-3 because at the same speed (256kbps) Telkomsel offers 3GB of quota than Indosat’s 2GB. More information of Indosat’s service is here. And Telkomsel’s is here.
